Yasuní National Park

3. August 2024 by Muriel Fuhrer

In Ecuador, in 2023 one of the biggest successes of protecting our planet was achieved:

Nearly 60% of Ecuadorian voters voted to keep over 726 million barrels of oil underground in the Yasuní National Park region of the Amazon, known as the most biodiverse region on the planet. People power won over Big Oil like never before.

But what has been achieved there, is under threat. Big Oil companies want to override the popular vote, and change what’s been decided.

So here is the chance to speak up! Sign the petition. Show them that it’s not in our interest to destroy our planet.

And you know, there are alternatives to fossil fuels! It’s hard for me to understand why we still continue to destroy our planet. We have alternatives, we have many solutions. So please, can we start using them? Why not just start using renewable energies?
To just mention one good example of an alternative is Lytefire - powerful, simple and efficient and so, so easy to bake and cook with.

So please, it’s time to make a change!
